We have made an offer to purchase!

And our offer has been accepted.....

We have been so busy with the tree falling down, moving our belongings into storage and looking for our new home, there has not been much time for anything else. I hope that is about to change!

This home and property backs to a green way full of birds and squirrels and deer. You can hear the ocean when you step outside, and by car the Klipsan beach approach is maybe 3 minutes. We could easily walk in 20 or bike ride in 5. The backyard will be busy with raised beds for vegetables and berries, and retirement looks better all the time!

Keep your fingers crossed for the inspection, appraisal and all the other ins and outs of buying a home to go smoothly. Also.....

Thanks for continuing to visit, we do appreciate it. Soon we will have a new busy backyard.

If you like what you see here, we would appreciate it if you told your friends (we would love more followers!), if not, please tell us. Our goal is to share relevant information that you will enjoy and use for yourself and your family.

Thank you for visiting such a busy backyard, as always we appreciate your time when you visit and your wonderful comments!

Old and new from far and wide, January 2016

Hello, we hope your week is going great on this first day in January. Take a look at what friends and other blogger are up to currently or have done in the past. So much information from older posts on just about every blog, today I am sharing these.....

If space is a problem in your yard, compost in place with a lasagne garden bed.  This method is easy to adapt for continuous composting.

Speaking of gardening, I love the look of mineral ringed terra cotta pots, but if you don't, here is a tutorial on cleaning them up.
