We had the opportunity to visit Cannon Beach Oregon, for the annual Sandcastle Contest. It is always a busy time in Cannon Beach, but for the Sandcastle Contest, it is permissible to drive on the beach. Fair warning however, all vehicles must be off the beach, in time to avoid getting caught up in the tide...
The different contestant groups had themes for their creations, which were interesting, but my favorite part of the viewing, is the individual sculptures, see what you think.

And an amazing walking path that takes you from one end of Cannon Beach to the other, off the busy streets. It is beautiful, filled with wildlife and very serene.
